This year marks the commencement of the Kenya Medical Project, which will improve access to medical care for hundreds of thousands of people living in Northern Kenya’s most remote regions. Aligned with Kenya First Lady, Honorable Margaret Kenyatta’s ambitions to ensure all Kenyans have access to quality medical care, Friends of Africa will refurbish and restore remote medical clinics and deliver much needed supplies via donation made by Project C.U.R.E.

In March 2015, the first formal clinic assessment of clinics to receive medical supplies and equipment donated by Project C.U.R.E. took place. Chairman Bonnie Bishop hosted Project C.U.R.E.’s Executive Director, Katie Mabardi, on a tour of clinics in East Pokot region of Northern Kenya. Friends of Africa is seeking donations to pay for transporting 40 foot containers from the U.S. to Kenya. Each container costs up to $20,000 to ship overseas and via truck from the port in Mombasa to the Northern Kenya medical clinics. Please give generously. Your gift will help hundreds of thousands of people gain access to medical care.
